UNIVERSITY CENTRE FOLKESTONE DANCE PHOTOGRAPHY

I have covered the photography over the last few years for UCF of their dance students and with a variety of performers and lighting set up we started to put together some poses and dances for the photographs. Their were a mix of single and group poses and with the aid of a step ladder I was able to capture some great aerial images of the girls. Due to the black background and bright spotlights I under exposed by 1-1 2/3 stops to make the background dark and freeze in places the movement, other images like the fan movement were captured with a 1/15 of a second shutter speed to give some motion blur.
