WESTFIELD CAR PHOTOGRAPHY SHOOT LONDON
03/03/2013
I was with Anthony who is in the KPC camera club that I run, Anthony had sold Richard his 5D mark 2 and they ended up talking about cars hence the result of the shoot. We were fortunate with the weather early on, more so for Richard as the car isn't built for comfort or wet weather. The Docklands area of London was ideal as a backdrop for the shoot and gave me a chance to use the new 24-70mm MK2 lens and the ST-E3 and 600 flashgun set ups.
WE carried on around the area using a variety of backdrops, which included cranes, warehouses and the cable cars which allow crossing the Thames a visual spectacle. The morning flew by and some panning shots at 20 mph (due to the speed limit around Docklands) were a test to create a drama of speed. I took the majority of the photos at 2.8-F4, just to give a sense of mood to the images due to the bright and rich colurs in the background.
