FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY AT BROOKLANDS MUSEUM
23/04/2013
The warmest day of the year created a great environment for the photo shoot, rich blue skies, long shadows and the use of the lastolite reflector would enable a set of stunning images for everyone's portfolios. I had worked with Natalie on numerous occasions and knew her lokm would work well with the vintage Norton and Enfield bikes that we were using. Abbie was quite new to modelling but with her acting background didnt take long to get in to the swing of thing's, her styling and make up really fit the era we were looking to create. A nice addition to the shoot was a black 1967 Ford Mustang GT fastback, a rare car and it looked superb in all of the photos.
Kit wise i used the 70-200mm lens apart from a handful of images with the 24-70mm for some wider photos of the models and car towards the end of the shoot. The addition of Victoria's floral displays really enhanced the final shots and provided a subtle dash of colour to the overall photographs. A couple of shots were taken with an off camera speedlite but the use of natural light and a reflector worked wonders in terms of lighting Abbie and Natalie.
