RM AUCTIONS CLASSIC CAR PHOTOGRAPHY HAMPSHIRE

The next two days will be a busy affair as in total RM Auctions have seventy five cars to photograph, all from one private collection. Along with three other photographers we had the task of covering these amazing cars from a variety of angles for the printed and online catologues. The brief was very descriptive of the angles required with some creativity for some fine detail photographs of the cars on display. An early morning shower was the only downside of the first day and some of the cars were simply stunning.
The location for the shoot was a private school located on the outskirts of Farnham and the main building provided me with an idyllic setting for the Mercedes Benz classic cars, the day finished on a high as a Ferrari GT was one of the exceptions to the German classic cars being photographed. Kit wise I used the 1D4 with the 70-200mm lens and a polarising filter for the exterior and detail images, the 5D MK3 with the 24-70mm lens was ideal for the interior and again close up detail images. One more day tomorrow and if the weather holds out all of us should finish this amazing collection of cars.
