CLASSIC CAR PHOTOGRAPHY RM AUCTIONS

The two extra cars I had to photograph today were an Alfa Spider and an ultra rare Iso Grifo GL, a stunning looking 2 + 2 coupe that was styled in Italy at Bertone but powered with a Chevrolet V8 and based on a Corvette power train. This was the first car I photographed today and really was stunning from every angle. Again the same set up of camera and lens combinations was used, the sun was direct on the front of the house for most of the day, although the Iso Grifo was taken with the sun hidden by a mask of cloud, ideal really for the silver paintwork.
The day finished around 4.30pm after an 8am start and with only a dozen cars to photograph for the other photographers tomorrow the shoot would finish on time and schedule. The cars will be auctioned in London at Battersea on the 8th and 9th September, I will be attending and look forward to seeing how much some of these iconic cars sell for, amazingly all of them are going through without reserve.
